What's included

What a cleaning actually covers.

Every run cleared by hand

Not blown out from the ground. Hand-cleared so the pack at the bottom actually comes out instead of getting pushed toward the downspout.

Downspouts flushed

Cleared and run with water to confirm they actually drain. A clean gutter with a blocked downspout is still a blocked gutter.

Fasteners and seams checked

We look at what's holding your gutters up and where they're joined. Most leaks start at a seam or a pulled spike.

Debris bagged and hauled

It leaves with us. Nothing gets raked into the beds.

Photo report, texted

Pictures of anything we found, sent to you the same day. Including the things we would not charge you to fix.

An honest read

If your gutters are fine and you do not need us back for a year, we will say so.

Why twice a year here

Our trees don't follow the national calendar.

LSU AgCenter puts it plainly: live oaks keep their leaves year-round except during the spring flush — and as those leaves drop, the trees also drop catkins. Catkins are stringy, they mat together, and they clog a gutter worse than leaves do.

So the fall cleaning most maintenance calendars call for only handles half your year. Down here you want one in late fall for the pines and sweetgums, and one in spring for the oaks — ideally before hurricane season, when your gutters have to move six inches of rain in a day.

There's a health angle too. The Louisiana Department of Health lists cleaning your roof gutters as a mosquito-control measure, noting that clogged gutters “can produce millions of mosquitoes annually.”

Questions

Straight answers.

How much does gutter cleaning cost in Gonzales?
It depends on the size of the house, how many stories, and how long it has been. We price it after we see it, and the number is in writing and good for 30 days. What we will not do is quote you low over the phone and then find reasons to raise it once we are on the ladder.
How often should I clean my gutters in south Louisiana?
Twice a year for most homes here. Late fall for the pines and sweetgums, and spring for the live oaks, which shed and drop catkins at the same time. Heavy tree cover can mean more.
Do you haul the debris away?
Yes. It gets bagged and taken with us. We do not leave a pile of wet leaf pack in your flower bed.
What if you find something wrong up there?
We photograph it and text it to you with the quote, whether it is something we would fix or not. Loose fasteners, a bad seam, rotted fascia, a lifted shingle — you get to see what we see.
Do I need to be home?
For cleaning, no. For a quote on other work, walk it with us if you can — it is easier to show you than describe it.
